detriot

I'm gonna admit that when I found out that I was sitting at the wrong gate in the Detriot International Airport and that I had missed my flight that I was pretty upset. Stopping to smell the roses was the farthest thing from my mind, I spent a good 20 minutes running to my supposed gate, which of coures was very empty. So long story short I switched my flight and ended up walking right back down the way I had came and honestly , I'm very glad I did. I stood on one of those cool flat ecalators and looked around. I saw the very entertaining water fountine in the middle of the airport, which provided a fun watch for adults and kids alike. As I was watching, I heard a noise like a bullet train coming towards me from overhead. Of coures I looked up. I definently wasn't crazy this time, there was a bullet train right overhead in the airport! People walked by like they had been there seen that, but I wasn't about looking cool, I was impressed. Of course I soon rolled my eyes. So they have a bullet train inside so what? I bet thats about it. I better brace for nasty airport food and dirty bathrooms, train or no train. Agian, I was dead wrong. First, the bathrooms were like something out of a star Wars scene. Clean cut, top of the line bathrooms that literatly spirkled with such cleanliness, you could eat in there. Of course I don't know why you would with the selection of eaterys abound. Wether your taking a quick stop in the National Coney Island resturant and grill ( you've got to get the orginal coney dog combo with a Pepsi, and it's only 6 bucks) or taking a trip into the Sora japanese sushi bar and resturant( grab a good old cali roll and enjoy the view) you won't fly hungry. Theres also the Dema resturant which is attached to the Westin hotel. It serves true decadence, among glasses of good port and tart champagne, and just looking at the menu can make your mouth water. And yes you read right, there's a hotel in the airport too. You don't even need a reservation, so its a good choice for those whose flight plans might have changed( I was very tempted). I would talk about the shopping vendors but I'll control myself. In a word, lets just say they'll leave you asking "mall what mall?". All in all Detriot airport defiently takes the cake, which is good enough for me. I try to see the glass half full, so to me this has been a fun trip.Good food and even better looking people(sorry, cute guys are not assured. Variteies may apply) and a good look. It's official. Next time I have to fly Delta,I'm gonna at least make sure I'll have a few shift hours in Detriot.
